We are seeking an experienced Procurement & Purchasing Manager to oversee sourcing, supplier negotiations, and inventory management for our hypermarket in Qatar. The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of procurement experience in retail/FMCG, strong analytical skills and a proven track record of cost optimization in a fast- paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and ensure supply chain efficiency.
• Source, negotiate, and manage suppliers/vendors for FMCG, groceries, electronics, and other hypermarket products.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment to avoid stockouts.
• Analyze market trends and pricing to secure the best deals.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar’s import/export regulations and customs procedures.
• Manage, BDA & annual contracts etc, purchase orders, and supplier relationships.
• Lead a procurement team and coordinate with logistics, warehousing, and store operations.
• Implement cost- saving initiatives without compromising quality.
• Ensure all procurement activities align with company policies and legal requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field , CIPS , CPSM
• + 5 years of procurement/purchasing experience in retail/hypermarket/FMCG in Qatar
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel
• Knowledge of Qatar’s supply chain, customs, and import regulations.
Fluent in English (Arabic is a strong advantage)
