Major duties & Key performance indicators (KPI):
The Food service sales representative plays the role of a business developer within the Food service sector. His duties are a mix of knowledge, PR, research and of course a sales consultant aiming to achieve growth for both parties; his product and his client. His main duties are:
Know your products’ line, details and quality details.
Sell your product to all food service sectors (café, restaurant, hotel, resorts, caterers, public and private institutions) and event planners.
Manage and develop existing as well as new customers; The development will be executed while maintaining existing sales within assigned customers in a given territory or sector.
Develop a daily/weekly call list and maintain information accuracy on monthly basis.
Review daily sales reports in alliance with production.
Suggest new products or specs.
Review monthly the best monitoring sales report with management to determine if goals and objectives are being met.
Coordinate sales with food service producer to ensure demand is met.
Communicate trends/pricing issues and other unique issues as it relates to sales.
Work closely with local brokers/manufacturers on developing new business and promoting manufacturers’ product lines.
Develop new markets and accounts by utilizing the current relationships and building new relationships in the food service channel.
Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events.
Coordinate delivery schedules and ensure on-time delivery.
Manage customers complaints and maintain high level of service.
Analyze territory and monitoring performance results, daily call reports and weekly work plans.
