We are seeking a proactive and qualified HSE Officer to join our team and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at our worksite(s). The ideal candidate will play a key role in promoting a culture of safety and ensuring that operational practices comply with applicable standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs across the site.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and safety breaches; recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training.
- Deliver HSE induction and regular safety training for employees and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations and standards.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly HSE reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure emergency equipment is maintained.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all required permits and licenses are in place.
- Promote environmental awareness and sustainability practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Mandatory: NEBOSH Level 6 International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Certification in First Aid, Fire Safety, or IOSH (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of HSE legal and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in MS Office and HSE management systems.
