Job Title: Restaurant Cashier

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-friendly Cashier to manage transactions and provide excellent service in our restaurant. The ideal candidate will handle payments accurately, maintain a clean workstation, and ensure a smooth dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers warmly and provide friendly service.

Accurately process cash, credit, and debit card payments.

Issue receipts, refunds, or change as required.

Assist customers with inquiries regarding menu items, prices, or promotions.

Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.

Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cashier counter.

Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.

Handle customer complaints politely and escalate when necessary.

Qualifications & Skills:

Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service (preferred).

Strong numerical and communication skills.

Basic knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) systems.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Professional, reliable, and customer-focused.

Work Environment:

Front-of-house position in a professional restaurant.

Requires standing for extended periods and handling busy service hours.
