We Are Hiring – Environmental Coordinator (Oil & Gas Sector)

Company Overview

We are a sub-subcontractor in the Oil & Gas sector, delivering construction and engineering services to major projects across Qatar. As part of strengthening our SHES department, we are seeking an experienced Environmental Coordinator to lead environmental compliance and sustainability efforts across our Oil & Gas projects.

Role Overview

The Environmental Coordinator will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring all environmental management systems in alignment with Qatargas EPC-3 SHES Critical Position requirements. This role requires deep technical expertise in environmental standards, regulatory compliance, and the ability to coordinate with project stakeholders, HSE teams, and government authorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement environmental management plans and procedures in compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct environmental risk assessments, audits, and inspections on project sites.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar’s environmental laws and regulations (MEED, MoECC).
• Monitor waste management, emissions, water use, and pollution control systems.
• Prepare and submit environmental reports, permits, and documentation for client and authorities.
• Lead awareness campaigns on sustainability, environmental protection, and pollution prevention.
• Liaise with client SHES representatives and regulatory bodies for environmental approvals.
• Provide training and support to site teams on environmental standards and requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management or equivalent (mandatory as per EPC-3 SHES requirements).
• Experience: Minimum 10 years in environmental management roles within the Oil & Gas sector (Qatar/GCC preferred).
• Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
• Familiarity with international and local environmental codes and standards.
• Excellent reporting, auditing, and regulatory compliance skills.
