Job Title: Accounts Manager – Retail / Jewellery / Luxury Goods Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Manager with strong experience in retail, jewellery, or luxury goods. The ideal candidate will manage the full spectrum of accounting operations, financial reporting, and budgeting, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance. This role requires leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to support business decisions through financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all accounting functions including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliation.

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, and cash flow reports.

Monitor inventory valuation, product costing, and sales reconciliation specific to retail or jewellery operations.

Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and local financial regulations.

Manage monthly and yearly financial closing activities.

Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions.

Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting systems (ERP/Tally/SAP/QuickBooks).

Provide financial analysis and business insights to management to support strategic decisions.

Control operational expenses and optimize financial performance.

Desired Skills & Experience

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (Master’s preferred).

Minimum 5–8 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in the retail, jewellery, or luxury goods sector.

Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent) preferred.

Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, product costing, and retail POS integration.

Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and financial analysis tools.

Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

Preferred Candidate:

Experience in retail store accounting, jewellery showroom finance, or luxury brand operations.

Strong understanding of VAT/GST compliance and import/export financial processes.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
