Estimator – Interior Design / Fit-Out is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for interior design and fit-out projects in Qatar and the GCC region. The role requires strong knowledge of local suppliers, materials, and market rates, ensuring compliance with client, consultant, and authority requirements while supporting tender submissions and project budgeting.

Key Responsibilities

Review IFC drawings, interior design packages, BOQs, and tender documents

Prepare detailed cost estimates for residential, commercial, retail, hospitality, and office fit-out projects

Perform quantity take-offs for finishes, FF&E, joinery, loose and fixed furniture

Source and evaluate quotations from local and regional suppliers and subcontractors

Maintain updated pricing based on Qatar/GCC market rates

Coordinate with designers, project managers, procurement, and sales teams

Assist in value engineering proposals to meet client budgets

Prepare tender submissions, cost comparisons, and commercial clarifications

Monitor cost variations, change orders, and post-contract cost control

Ensure estimates comply with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), local authority standards, and project requirements

Support procurement during material selection and supplier negotiation

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field

Minimum 3–7 years experience as an Estimator in interior design or fit-out projects within Qatar or the GCC

Strong knowledge of local materials, finishes, joinery, and FF&E suppliers

Experience with QCS, consultant standards, and authority requirements

Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation software (PlanSwift, CostX, or similar)

Ability to read and interpret interior design and shop drawings

Strong analytical, numerical, and organizational skills

Preferred Skills

Existing supplier and subcontractor network in Qatar

Experience with fast-track and high-end fit-out projects

Knowledge of procurement processes and contract conditions

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight tender deadlines
