We are seeking a Documents Controller to join our Steel Structure Factory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling, maintaining, and distributing all project and factory documentation in accordance with company procedures and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish, implement, and maintain document control procedures
- Receive, register, classify, and distribute all incoming and outgoing documents
- Control drawings, specifications, method statements, and material submittals
- Maintain up-to-date document registers and ensure revision control
- Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, Production, and Project teams
- Ensure documents comply with project, client, and ISO requirements
- Archive completed project documents properly for future reference
- Track approvals, comments, and document status
- Prepare periodic document control reports
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Documents Controller, preferably in steel structure or construction industry
- Good knowledge of document control systems and procedures
- Familiar with fabrication drawings, material certificates, and QA/QC documents
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills
- Experience in ISO 9001 document control
- Knowledge of project documentation workflows
- Experience working in a factory or fabrication environment
