We are currently hiring an experienced Coating Inspector for an Oil & Gas project in Qatar. The candidate must be locally available, hold a valid QID with NOC, and be ready for immediate joining.
Job Responsibilities
- Inspect and monitor surface preparation, painting, and coating activities in accordance with approved procedures and specifications
- Ensure compliance with project requirements and international standards during coating application
- Conduct inspections for:
- Surface preparation (blasting, cleaning, profiling)
- Environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, dew point)
- Dry Film Thickness (DFT), adhesion, and holiday testing
- Inspect coatings applied to piping, structural steel, tanks, vessels, and mechanical equipment
- Review and implement coating ITPs, method statements, and quality plans
- Identify non-conformances and ensure timely corrective actions
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports and QA/QC documentation
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams, site engineers, and client representatives
Requirements
- Valid NACE International Level 3 OR BGAS Grade 1 certification (mandatory)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas / EPC projects
- Strong knowledge of coating systems, materials, and inspection techniques
- Familiar with ISO, NACE, SSPC, and ASTM standards
- Locally available in Qatar
- Valid QID with NOC
- Immediate joining required
