Job Overview
We are hiring Riggers Level 1 to support lifting and rigging operations for Oil & Gas projects in Qatar. The ideal candidates must be competent in basic rigging activities, able to follow instructions from Rigging Supervisors/Lifting Supervisors and strictly adhere to safety procedures and site regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in rigging, lifting, and load?handling activities under the supervision of a certified Rigging or Lifting Supervisor.
- Select, prepare, and inspect basic rigging tools (slings, shackles, hooks, chains) before use.
- Support lifting team during crane operations by guiding loads, attaching rigging equipment, and maintaining exclusion zones.
- Maintain proper communication with crane operators and rigging supervisors during lifting tasks.
- Follow all safety protocols, toolbox talks, and permit?to?work requirements.
- Ensure rigging accessories are stored, handled, and used safely and correctly.
- Report any defective tools, unsafe conditions, or near?miss incidents immediately.
- Perform housekeeping in rigging areas and assist in material handling tasks when required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Certified Rigger Level 1 (TUV / OSHA / LEEA / recognized training institute).
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in rigging operations, preferably within Oil & Gas sites.
- Basic understanding of lifting gear, hand signals, and load?handling safety.
- Ability to work under supervision and follow instructions accurately.
- Strong awareness of site safety rules and working?at?height precautions.
