Job Summary
The Kids Attendant is responsible for creating a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for children and their families within the indoor playground. This role involves supervising children, maintaining health and safety standards, facilitating engaging activities, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the facility.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Health & Safety
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized indoor playground environment in compliance with health, safety, and operational standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of play areas, equipment, and facilities, and promptly report any hazards or maintenance issues to the Operations Manager.
- Monitor the play area continuously to help prevent accidents and ensure children's safety.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies by following established health and safety procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
Cleaning & Hygiene
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of play areas, toys, equipment, and high-touch surfaces.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene to provide a healthy environment for children, families, and staff.
Child Supervision & Care
- Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety, well-being, and enjoyment.
- Interact with children in a positive, friendly, and professional manner.
- Manage children's behavior appropriately while creating a fun and inclusive atmosphere.
- Organize and facilitate educational, creative, and recreational activities within the indoor playground.
- Attend to the needs of children of different age groups and provide assistance whenever required.
Customer Service
- Deliver outstanding customer service to parents, guardians, and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable experience.
- Communicate playground rules, health and safety procedures, and operational guidelines clearly and professionally.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately, process payments, handle cash responsibly, and maintain accurate transaction records.
Operational Responsibilities
- Complete daily operational, health, and safety checklists for play areas, toys, and equipment.
- Ensure the facility is fully prepared before opening and properly secured after closing.
- Follow established procedures for child check-in and check-out.
- Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, operational deficiencies, or policy violations to the Operations Manager.
- Arrive punctually, wear the designated uniform, and maintain high standards of personal appearance and hygiene.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with children, in an indoor playground, family entertainment centre, nursery, or customer service environment is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to safety.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety practices; First Aid and CPR certification is an advantage.
- Experience using POS systems and handling cash is an advantage.
- Patient, energetic, responsible, and passionate about working with children.
