QC Inspector (Mechanical)
Job description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QC Inspector – Mechanical to join our quality control team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical components and systems meet the required quality standards and specifications.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of mechanical components and assemblies to verify compliance with specifications and standards.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to perform inspections.
- Document and report any non-conformances or defects found during inspections.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality assurance activities.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations during inspections.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a QA/QC Mechanical in the Oil & Gas sector
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong knowledge of mechanical inspection activities, including piping, structural steel, pressure vessels, tanks, and rotating/static equipment
- Familiar with QA/QC procedures, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Inspection Requests (IRs), material receiving inspections, and quality documentation.
- Only Freelancer will be accepted.
- Must be locally available in Qatar.
- A holder of valid Qatar ID.
- Ability to join immediately.
Project Details:
- Project Location: Ras Laffan, Qatar
- Duration: 3 months, with the possibility of extension
- Food, accommodation & transportation will be provided
