Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced, energetic Restaurant Supervisor to lead the floor team and make sure every guest receives excellent service, consistent quality and a warm welcome. You will supervise daily operations, guide and motivate staff, and maintain high standards of hygiene, safety and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily front-of-house operations during your shift, including opening and closing procedures.
- Lead, train and motivate waiters, hosts and service staff.
- Prepare staff schedules and assign stations and duties.
- Greet guests, handle their requests and complaints professionally, and turn problems into positive experiences.
- Check that food and drinks are served on time and meet menu standards.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team on orders, preparation times and special requests.
- Monitor table turnover, reservations and guest flow, especially at peak hours.
- Make sure all food safety, hygiene and health regulations are followed.
- Check the cleanliness and setup of the dining area, service stations and equipment.
- Manage stock of service items and report shortages to the manager.
- Handle cash, POS and billing procedures accurately, and support end-of-shift reports.
- Train new employees and give regular feedback and performance reports to the manager.
- Promote menu items and upsell to increase sales and guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a restaurant, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team-leader role.
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Good spoken English. Arabic is an advantage.
- Knowledge of food service, hygiene and safety standards.
- Ability to work under pressure, in shifts, weekends and holidays.
- Experience with POS systems.
- Neat appearance and a positive, guest-focused attitude.
