HireRex Recruitment is looking for experienced and certified Riggers / Signalmen (Banksmen) to support vessel and port terminal operations, ensuring the safe rigging, slinging, lifting, movement, and positioning of cargo.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out rigging, slinging, securing, guiding, and handling of cargo during vessel and terminal operations.

• Provide clear hand signals and communication to crane and lifting equipment operators.

• Assist in the safe preparation, connection, movement, and positioning of loads.

• Ensure all lifting activities comply with approved safety procedures.

• Work onboard vessels, including activities at height.

• Follow cargo stowage plans, lifting restrictions, and operational instructions.

• Coordinate with crane operators and terminal operations teams.

• Work flexible hours, including shifts and different working days.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Intermediate School education or equivalent.

• Valid Rigging and Signalman/Banksman competency certification approved or accepted by QatarEnergy.

Requirements:

• Must meet Paragraph (B5), Appendix (B), of QatarEnergy Lifting Equipment Regulation CORP-PAI-STD-005.

• Good knowledge of international hand signals, rigging, and lifting practices.

• Knowledge of cargo stowage planning and lifting restrictions.

• Fair proficiency in English and the common gang language.

• Arabic language skills are an advantage.

• Multipurpose port experience is mandatory, including general cargo, break bulk, bulk, bags, and other cargo operations.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in container terminal/port operations.

• At least 3 years of combined experience in Rigger and Signalman/Banksman duties.
