About us:
Sherborne Qatar was founded in 2009 as the first overseas school developed by Sherborne School, Dorset. It was set up in partnership with Sheikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Thani (Chairman of Sharaka Holdings). It is a founding member of Qatar’s Ministry of Education & Higher Education Outstanding Schools Initiative. We now have 6 schools – coed preparatory schools in Bani Hajer, 2 coed preparatory and secondary school by the Mall of Qatar, a school for children with special educational needs, an all-through Girls’ School in Al Ebb and our new Boys School in Al Rayyan. We offer a British curriculum, taught in English, and a British independent school ethos. Our Schools are British School Overseas (BSO) and Qatar National Schools accredited and members of British Schools in the Middle East (BSME).
The Opportunity:
Due to our rapid growth, we are looking to boost our administrative team. We are looking for a Ministry of Education & Higher Education Coordinator to assist our Director of Accreditation & Compliance with the schools' liaison with the MOEHE.
Applicants must have a calm, polite, diplomatic and sympathetic manner, and an awareness of the MOEHE in Qatar is essential. Applicants should have a high level of computer literacy, confidence in all aspects of Microsoft Office and above all a positive attitude. Applicants must have the ability to translate accurately from English to Arabic and Arabic to English.
This role is based at the Senior School by the Mall of Qatar by the postholder may be asked, on occasion, to work at other school sites.
