The Grocery In-Charge is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the grocery department, ensuring a high level of customer service, maintaining inventory, and optimizing sales. This role involves managing staff, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Staff Supervision:
Train, supervise, and schedule grocery staff to ensure efficient operations.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for staff development.
Customer Service:
Ensure excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shopping environment.
vendor Relations:
Communicate with suppliers to negotiate pricing and delivery schedules.
Coordinate product deliveries and ensure quality control upon receipt.
Desired Skills & Experience
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business or related field is a plus.
Previous experience in grocery or retail management preferred.
