We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices within the construction industry, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in financial software. The Accountant will play a key role in managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and project profitability analysis.

Oversee accounts payable and receivable.

Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and banking activities.

Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for management.

Monitor project costs and variances to ensure financial efficiency.

Generate periodic financial statements and analyze discrepancies.

Ensure compliance with Qatar’s tax laws, including VAT filings.

Liaise with auditors and regulatory authorities during audits.

Keep updated with changes in local financial regulations and standards.

Identify financial risks and implement measures to mitigate them.

Track project expenses, progress billings, and revenue recognition.

Manage contracts, retention, and subcontractor payments.

Assist in cost allocation for materials, labor, and overheads.

Ensure effective financial reporting for multiple projects simultaneously.

Use accounting software like QuickBooks, Tally, or similar platforms.

Proficiency in ERP systems tailored for the construction industry is a plus.

Work closely with project managers and procurement teams to ensure proper documentation of expenses.

Provide financial advice and insights to support strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry in Qatar.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.

Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Qatar’s taxation laws and financial regulations.

Language: Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
