Procurement Officer


JOB DESCRIPTION:


Receive and review new material requisition.

Budgeting, costing, and cost saving after reviewing operational requirements.

Source out vendors, manufacturers based on scope of supply.

Seed quotations and follow up with vendors, manufacturers.

Coordinate with end-user for technical evaluation.

Issue notifications of orders and follow up order confirmations.

Issue formal purchase orders.

Find suppliers, enquire for quotation list, compare and select a suitable supplier through a competitive bidding process.

Collect procurement demand from different division.

Coordinate with store department and checking availability of stocks and inventory.

Liaison with other departments, particularly Accounting, Operations, and Warehouse department.

Select evaluate and re-evaluate suppliers with procurement manager.

Update information relating to the supplier such as about qualification, product, delivery time, after sales service, payment method, potential development, etc. frequently to be able to select the most suitable one.

QUALIFICATIONS:


Bachelor's degree economic and commerce or related courses

Qatar DRIVING LICENSE is a must

Knowledge & training of machinery & chemicals handling

Proven 03 years’ work experience in project management or similar role

Knowledgeable in using Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Manage the procurement process and supply base efficiently & effectively.

Strong client-facing and teamwork and communication skills

Ability to multi-task effectively
